How often do children go to the Media Center?
Students are scheduled into the family library media center
each week for book selection.
Time with Mr. Caldwell for instruction is arranged according to need and scheduling blocks of each grade level.
Research skills are not taught in isolation
but are integrated into the current curricular area.

VOLUNTEERS
Forbes School students and staff are fortunate to have a very active volunteer program in the media center. Parents, grandparents and friends of Forbes School students have been volunteering in the media center this academic year.
If you have a free morning or afternoon every week and would like to help in the media center, there's much to do. You could shelve and straighten books, laminate for teachers, check out books for students, or do one of many other daily tasks associated with the operation of a busy media center.

Traveling throughout our kindergarten and first grade classes is
a rolling cart full of wonderful stories and picture books donated by
Mr. Jerry Beach in memory of his beloved wife, Maureen Beach,
who taught kindergarten for twenty years.
